PERSONAL BIO:

“Here’s to the crazy ones.
The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers.”-Rob Siltanen

I like to think I might be crazy enough to change the world. Okay, maybe not the world but I know I am crazy enough to change my world.

In high school, I was one of the normal ones.  I followed the rules and did what was expected of me. Frankly, then, I saw no problem with it. With this mindset, I went to college played basketball, and continued to live in my normal world.

However, my first taste of college made me see what the crazy ones did and I changed everything. I left school and started my own path to find myself – not the “me” everyone expected, commencing my unconventional path to finding my place in my personal and professional world.

I tried so many things. I gave cosmetology a try; I even tried college one more time. However, I didn’t find what I was looking for.

So, I went full-on crazy. I became a bartender and decided to travel. I’ve gone to Italy, Jamaica, and Mexico; I’ve traveled to countless cities within the US. This is when I found Nikki.

Once I found myself, I knew it was time to make a change once again. I returned to college and completed two academic years in one calendar year. I also found time to work a part-time job and coach three sports teams.

Upon graduation, I found myself working at an agency and climbing the ladder to leadership all while still learning my industry and who I was.

Fast forward a couple of years, I started a family and moved to my childhood home to raise my son in the same environment I grew up in.

My next crazy adventure will be exploring motherhood and finding a new career opportunity in the community I endearingly call home.

So, here’s to all of you willing to do what is right in your world, and here’s to me, one of the crazy ones.

A mermaid believer.  A wander-lust gypsy.  A loving mother.
